Scottish Academy of Swimming offers a choice of group, premium and private swimming lessons across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Our five partner pools cover central Aberdeen, South Deeside, near Ellon, Inverurie and Turriff, making it easier to find a class that suits your family.
Children can begin from age 3, while older children and adults can join at the level that matches their current confidence and ability. Standard groups have no more than six swimmers and include a teacher and assistant. Premium groups have no more than three swimmers at selected pools, and private tuition gives one-to-one support.

About this venue
Ardoe House Hotel & Spa was originally built in the 19th century as a family home for Alexander Ogston, an Aberdeen soap merchant. Designed by architect James Mathews, with inspiration from Balmoral, it remained a family home until 1947, when it was converted into a hotel.

About this venue
House of Schivas is a 16th-century tower house about three miles east of Methlick, in the valley of the River Ythan. The working estate sits in extensive grounds with a walled garden, a herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle and an indoor heated pool.

Robert Gordon’s College is an independent co-educational nursery and day school in the heart of Aberdeen, for children aged 3 to 18. The pool originally opened in 1937 and was refurbished in 2013.

About this venue
Netherdale belonged to a branch of the Maitland family before passing to the Gordons around 1497. In 1641, the barony was recorded as belonging to the Crichtons of Frendraught, and by the late 18th century it had come into the possession of the Earl of Fife. The present B-listed mansion was probably built on or near an earlier barony or mansion house. It is thought to have been designed by William Robertson around 1825 for the Rose-Innes family, factors to the Duke of Fife, who occupied Netherdale until 1922.
