Catch-up terms for parents
- Catch-up credits are issued when a parent marks their swimmer absent through the parent portal. Credits are non-refundable and capped at five per swimmer per year.
- Absences can be logged up to seven days in advance.
- Credits can be redeemed through the parent portal from seven days before to seven days after the recorded absence.
- Subject to space, a catch-up lesson can be booked with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- A catch-up lesson can be cancelled up until 24 hours before that lesson.

Is your swim school accredited?
Yes. We are a STAmark-accredited swim school and an RLSS UK approved training provider. We were also finalists in two categories at the 2024 STA Aquatic Excellence Awards. See our accreditation and awards for details.
Where do you run Rookie Lifeguard?
Our Rookie Lifeguard programme runs only at Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen. Contact our team for current times, fees and suitability.
What age can my child start?
Children can start with Ducklings at ages 3–4. Our children’s pathway is for ages 5–16, and the adult pathway starts at 16.
How long is a lesson?
Pre-school and children’s lessons last 30 minutes. Check the details of the class you choose when booking.
How many swimmers are in a class?
All standard groups have a maximum of 6 swimmers per class, including advanced classes. Premium groups have a maximum of 3 swimmers per class and are available at selected pools. Private lessons are one-to-one or shared.
Who teaches group lessons?
Every standard group lesson has both a teacher and an assistant. Premium groups are teacher-led, with a maximum of 3 swimmers per class at selected pools.
What are monthly themed lessons?
We bring a new theme to our lessons each month. Our team gets into character with dressing up and playful activities alongside learning swimming skills. See our themed lesson photos for a glimpse of the fun.
My child is nervous. Can you help?
Tell us about your child before booking so we can help you choose a suitable starting point. Our teachers use a supportive approach, with in-water teaching at relevant levels.
How do I choose a level?
Use the entry skills in our children’s pathway or adult pathway. If you’re transferring from another provider or you’re unsure, ask our team.
Do you offer additional support lessons?
The Coral Reef Club offers smaller groups, extra guidance and a calmer learning environment. Teacher-led and parent-supported formats are available; contact us to discuss suitability.
How do I book?
Choose your area and pool in Find a lesson, then follow “Check spaces & book” to our Swimphony booking system. Current availability is shown there.
Where can I find my booking details?
Use your parent portal and booking confirmation. For help accessing your account, contact our team.
What should I know before my first visit?
Choose your pool in Your first lesson for welcome information. Arrival and poolside arrangements vary between venues.
How are lessons paid for?
Lessons are paid monthly in advance. A deposit equal to two lessons is required. Ask our team if you have a question about your payments or booking terms.
