Recognising anaphylaxis and learning the first aid response, including adrenaline auto-injectors and basic life support.

NPLQ
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Pool lifeguarding theory, rescue techniques, first aid and CPR. Candidates must meet the swimming prerequisites and be at least 16 at assessment.
POOL RESPONDER
Pool Responder
Training for staff who need to respond to a pool emergency. Talk to us about the appropriate rescue award for your venue. Pool emergency rescue training does not replace the NPLQ for lifeguarding duties.
NRASTC
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
Supervision and rescue training for swimming teachers and coaches delivering programmed pool activities. Covers intervention rescue, emergency action, CPR and first aid.
NRASTC LIGHT
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches LIGHT
Supervision and rescue training for programmed activities where qualified lifeguard or first aid backup can respond quickly in an emergency.
